| Celebrating the holidays, already I am. My interpretation of a hot chocolate recipe from "The Star Wars Cookbook: Wookiee Cookies and Other Galactic Recipes," by Robin Davis, you should enjoy.
Ingredients
* 2 cup milk * 4 heaping teaspoons sugar * 2 heaping teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder * 2/8 teaspoon vanilla extract * Small marshmallows (optional)
1. Pour the milk into a small saucepan. Add the sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla to the milk. Stir vigorously with a whisk until the sugar and cocoa dissolve (If the cocoa does not disolve all the way, and is in small little clumps, worry not, dissolve they will shortly).
2. Place the pan on the stove and switch on the heat to medium. Watch for tiny bubbles to appear along the edge of the pan (after a while, large bubbles you may see, however stir it again you must, and watch for small bubbles), then immediately remove the pan from the heat (Take about 6-10 minutes it should, depending on how hot you prefer. Prefer about 8 minutes I do).
3. Carefully pour into the mug (Over the sink, safest that is) and serve immediately with marshmallows, if desired.
(Makes just over 1 standard mug sized serving it does.) | |
