Twilight??

So did anyone see Twilight? any thoughts?

I thought that the movie was going to be very bad, like B movie kind of bad. But, it was better than I thought it was going to be. I still didn't like it too much. But if someone didn't read the books, some parts would be confusing.

I haven't read the books yet,but I plan to.They are just so long! Lol

i saw the movie and i thought the first half was kinda cheesy but i liked the last half. They follwed the book pretty well and i like how they quote the book a lot. it's not my favorite movie ever and i can wait till it comes out to watch it again. but it was better than what i expected.

Okay! Twilight fanatic stepping in.

Minnie- I agree about the second half being better, but it didn't follow the book all that well. The first half of the movie was just Bella and Edward staring at each other! >__<
However, I found some of the not so important characters, such as: Jessica, Mike, Tyler, James, Victoria, Angela and Eric, as some of the better casted roles. That's exactly how they were in the book.

Obi-chan- I agree. Those who didn't read the book would have been confused in some places. However, those who HAVE read the books, know that the movie was changed and lacking some very important parts.

Mac- Always read the vampire book before it becomes a movie!!! lol


Now, a part I found disturbing; Bella and Edward's kiss in Bella's room. She wasn't supposed to be making out with him on her bed in her underwear! In the book, she was wearing sweatpants. Anyone agree?
~I blame the person cast as Bella. Personally, I find her to be a horrible actress and I hate her as Bella.

(Didn't I read the books before you, Ace? And you're more fanatic about it than I am. lol)
And I agree with you on that scene. It wasn't right.

I don't hate or like Kristen Stewart. Personally, I didn't like any of the actors in the movie. I was REALLY mad at who they got to play Carlisle. He's probably my favorite character (or second favorite), and I expected him to be better looking. After all, vampires in Twilight are supposed to be amazingly beautiful. Some people say that he was ok for the part, but I don't think so...

Mac: That was just my opinion on her acting. No disrespect intended. - And actually, it said in the article i read that she refused to wear sweatpants for it, just like she refused to say the line "I'll die without you." Which was changed to "I can't live without you" which is even more overused.

Obi-chan: Yes you read the book before me, but I've read them more times ^_^
-And of course I would have a lot to say here.
-As I mentioned, I like the not so important characters. I thought Carlisle was gorgeous o.o




-Also at the end... "Looks like the wolves have awakened." Is what Edward says to Jacob at the dance.... That made me mad! Okay, so maybe for personal reasons I've learned to like werewolves better and I was offended by it, but it kinda gave away what happens in New Moon.... Not that I didn't already know, but still. He shouldn't have said it if you ask me.

So what do you think of all the drama surrounding the sequel? Like they might not have that guy who played Jacob come back.

I probably won't go see the rest of the movies. You see, I've been wanting to re-read the Twilight books, but ever since I've seen the movie, it has ruined the way I imagined it originally.

Awwwww,how sad! I don't know why that should keep you from reading the books? Just go back re-read and imagine them how you think they should be!

I should. But, it's hard to do that. I read the first few chapters again, and it's hard to get their version of the "science class" scene out of my head. My version was so much better. lol And I can't get their Edward out of my head either. My Edward was better, too! lol

But you are right, Mac. I should read them the way I want them to be.

I honestly can't even remember what my image of Bella and Edward looked like... The movie characters ruined it for me.
