| In an attempt to get more people to come to the park, Hong Kong Disneyland has opened their version of "it's a small world." This is met with both joy and controversy amongst Disney Fans. The joy comes from the "baby" park (HKDL is the Youngest park) finally getting this classic attraction. The controversy comes from so drastic changes to the ride through the transition. The HKDL version features 38 Different Disney Characters, meaning pre-established characters from movies and TV shows, as well as an America section. This would interest fans if it weren't for the plans to do the same to the California Disneyland, which is the same "it's a small world" used in the 1964 World's Fair. SOme think that Disney might be testing the water in Hong Kong to see how this is taken by the casual park visitor, rather than the Hardcore Disney fans who are protesting the Disney Characters.
