Wow what an interesting day. I had to save the lives of three guests from getting ran over yesterday.
Well the first incident happened when i was behind the theater in a particular position where i had to open gates for some vehicles to come through to get on/off stage so it's pretty much a diagonal cut right through the walk path for guests, but at this point it normally isn't a problem bc all the guests are watching the show. Well i had just finished when this party of two came down, a little boy and his mother, unfortunately i was well on the other side of the gate when i realized them and knew i shouldn't go over there bc Three Vehicles were going to zoom by me at any moment. Unfortunately, those two didn't know that and opened one of the Emergency Exit Doors thinking that's how they get out. At that point it didn't matter if the cars were coming to hit me, i had to run over there and stop them before a car hit them. Luckily, the cars were going a bit slow and i was able to explain to them that that wasn't an exit, without having to mention that they could have been ran over lol.
Later in the Day i was in front of the attraction Greeting guests. Well i was on one side talking to guests and than all of the sudden i look over to the Backlot Tour Ride Track which is right next to the entrance, and somehow there was this 12 year old girl in the middle of the track, which is really hard to understand how she got there bc there are no gates that you can easily open and it would be very difficult to climb over the gates bc they are kinda large. Next thing i know there was a Tour Tram Coming around the corner. Luckily the tram saw her and was able to stop, but some times there are trams that are going faster than that. I had to rush from where i was and a Backlot CM ran from the opposite side, and we were able to get her off without her being hurt. This just goes to show you, at Disneyworld you really should do what Cast Members say and follow the signs, because we work in that area all the time and know the procedures and the Dangers in the area, which is something some guests have a hard time with.
I am a big Star Wars Disney Geek, and would love to meet some more.
