Disney Cinemagic created a record-breaking piece of beach art to launch their Monster Summer of Movies. To celebrate the start of the summer holidays, the family movie channel commissioned a team of 10 highly skilled artists to create the giant picture of Monsters Inc character Sulley on Blackpool Beach. The picture of the big blue beast was 40,000 square foot - the equivalent to three Olympic sized swimming pools. The team started work at 4.30am to finish the picture before it was washed away by high tide at 10.45am.

I've walked on that very beach numerous times - very surprised there were no donkeys around...
