Here we go...New season starts this Thursday 2/7 Favorite fans vs Fan favorites.....

Woot I am excited about this! lol Looks like an awesome season but i don't think Johhny Fairplay will last long

I know when he goes if you want me to post a spoiler....if not I will keep my lips sealed. Though the Dark Side of me wants to tell...................... :lol:

This season started out great....the fans are just that fans....though they are a little strange. I think they were casted for their wierdness. The Favorites were great. I would have thought some others would have been invited back but still a good mix. Game was on especially in the challenge. Goodby Johnny Fairplay.....

Reward/Immunity Challenge: Reinventing the Wheel

Fans and Favorites arrive at their first challenge, and Jeff Probst explains the rules to the warring tribes. Both teams will race to assemble four puzzle wheels and attach them to a cart, in which two of their tribe mates will ride. Pushing the cart through a series of obstacles to a finish platform, the tribes will then disassemble the puzzle wheels and use them to complete a turnstile. Finally, they'll wind the turnstile to raise a fire-wok, igniting their tribal cauldron. The first tribe to light their cauldron wins Immunity and fire in the form of flint.

Fairplay grew a heart?! I mean i didn't expect him to win, but giving up like that? I half expected the girlfriend thing to be a lie but apparently it's legit or he just couldn't handle the game. Kinda sucky that he left so soon bc that dies down the interest of the show...

I think there are going to be some interesting dynamics this season. Keep an eye on the hook-ups...also watch Kathy the crazy lady......I heard she is going to freak out... I think this might prove to be a really fun season.

Can you imagine if they did 'themed' Survivor shows?

For example - I wonder if they would do a Survivor Star Wars. Jedi vs Sith. They could live on created sets (eg Tattoine & Naboo) and have Star Wars themed challenges...

Survivor: Micronesia Episode 2 Recap




Reward/Immunity Challenge: Smash and Grab Combination Reward and Immunity challenge, where Jeff Probst explains that they will be competing for fishing gear, a bamboo fishing boat and Immunity. Each tribe will select five swimmers, three puzzle-makers, and one key-master. First, the swimmers will race out, one-by-one, to a floating tower, climb to the top, and jump off while smashing a suspended tile, releasing a key into the water below. The swimmer must dive down, retrieve the key, and bring it back to shore. Once all five keys are collected, the key-master will open a series of locks on a chest containing puzzle-pieces. The puzzle-makers will use the puzzle-pieces to assemble a map of Micronesia. The first tribe to solve the puzzle wins Immunity and is safe from Tribal Council. The winning tribe will also select one person from the losing tribe to go to Exile Island, where he or she will have the chance to discover a Hidden Immunity Idol.

Reward Challenge: Beach Bash
The tribes step onto their mats, decked out in painted war masks, and Jeff Probst informs them, "Today is going to be a battle." He explains the rules. Both tribes start at opposite sides of a watery playing field in their opponent's end zone. On "Go," the two tribes will charge across the lagoon to their own end zone on the opposite side, carrying three heavy canvas bags. The tribe's goal is to get their three bags, plus two bags from the enemy tribe, into their respective end zones. To make things interesting, tribes can steal bags from their opponent's end zones even after the opponent has scored. First Tribe to get any five bags in their end zone at once wins Reward. The Favorites, having chosen three items from the Survivor Catalogue, will be playing for a shelter kit, a lighting kit, and a survival kit, while the Fans selected to play for a fishing kit, a shelter kit, and a kitchen set.

Immunity Challenge - Nut Bucket
Each tribe will choose two men and two women to hold a rope tethered to a giant hanging net basket. Members of the opposing tribe will attempt to shoot coconuts into the net. The more coconuts a tribe successfully throws into the other tribe's net, the heavier that net becomes. The tribe that holds their net up the longest wins Immunity and is safe from Tribal Council.

Lol Johnatan made the mistake of telling everyone to vote for who they wanted bc his group voted for Yau too lol But poor little Yau-man will be missed... Rooting for Jamez Now!

Eliza knew her name came up, so she probably wanted one extra vote against Yau to make sure he went and not her.

Reward Challenge: Diver Down

Four tribe members will swim out to a floating platform and dive down to a 30-foot long steel cage submerged in the water. They must retrieve from the cage ten tribe-colored coconuts with letters on them. Pushing the coconuts the length of the cage through an opening at the end, tribes must retrieve the coconuts one-by-one and place them in a wooden bin floating above the cage. After all 10 coconuts are in the bin, they must swim the loaded bin back to shore where the four remaining tribe members will use the letters on the coconuts to unscramble a ten-letter word. First tribe to unscramble the word wins 3 egg-laying hens and a rooster. In addition, the winning tribe will send a member from both tribes to Exile Island.

Immunity Challenge - Crosswalk

Tribes will race to open six locks releasing a large six-point sliding hub. Harnessing themselves into the hub, tribes will maneuver through a large obstacle course by shifting, sliding, and adjusting each other in their hub. Along the way they will collect six tribal bead necklaces. Once all six necklaces are collected, the remaining two tribe members will match up the colored beads on the necklace with the corresponding letters on a decoding wheel to spell a three-word phrase. First tribe to decipher the phrase wins Immunity.

Reward Challenge: Cat and Mouse

Tribe members will be divided into pairs and harnessed together. Each round, a harnessed pair from one tribe will chase a pair from the other tribe through a muddy obstacle course, attempting to grab a flag off the opposing tribe's back. Each time a pursuing pair successfully gets a flag they score a point for their tribe. To make things interesting, the chasing pair has only 60 seconds to capture the other tribe’s flag. If they fail to do so, the fleeing tribe scores the point. First tribe to three points wins Reward: a steak barbecue with all the fixings, wine, and spices.

Immunity Challenge - A Stone's Throw
Four members from each tribe will alternate throwing rocks at suspended ceramic tiles, breaking them to release four bundles of wooden puzzle pieces. Collecting all four bundles and handing them off, three other tribe members will race to assemble the pieces with help from a caller on top of a tower. The first tribe to solve their puzzle wins Immunity and is safe from Tribal Council

This Survivor is interesting in the way that everyone is playing backwards... At this point it normally is vote to make your tribe the strongest, and after the merge it is vote out the bigger threats, but these guys seem to be doing to opposite... To me it seems like the Fans are dead in the water right now, since they will want to be on the side with the favs over the side with the fans, which is really a death sentence for all the fans...

Reward Challenge: Build It Up, Break It Down

Both tribes will swim across a lagoon to a floating platform to collect several bundles of planks, sticks, and rope. They’ll race back to shore where two 15 foot-long bamboo-cage tunnels await them. Tribes will have ten minutes to use their gathered materials to build a blockade in the opposing tribe’s tunnel. When time’s up, the tribes will then race to tear down the blockade the other tribe built in their own tunnel. The first tribe to get all their members through their barricaded tunnel and onto their tribe mat wins Reward. Two native Micronesian Fishermen will visit the winning tribe’s camp and teach the Survivors how to live off the land. In addition, the winning tribe will choose a member from both tribes to go to Exile Island.

Immunity Challenge - United We Stand

Tribes will transport two tribemates from one tower to the next, in waist-deep water, using giant stepping poles that the rest of the tribe must support. The tribe members making the crossing will effectively leapfrog from one pole to the other across the lagoon to the second platform. Once both tribemates are transported, the entire tribe must then climb atop a third and final tower and squeeze onto a tiny wooden platform. The first tribe with all seven members on or above the top platform wins Immunity.

Actually, a celebrtiy version is pretty much a death sentence for a reality show so hopefully not soon

Due to March Madness and the fact that the inital rounds of the tournament will be played Thursday night on CBS they ran the show a day early. Not mentioned below is that Kathy outright quit.

Survivor: Micronesia Episode 7 Recap




Reward Challenge: Money Roll

Tribes will work with traditional Micronesian money-stones, large wheel-shaped stones standing almost as tall as the Survivors themselves, once used as currency by the native people. Four blindfolded teammates will use long, wooden handles attached to the stones to steer them through a jungle course riddled with rocks and stumps. Two other teammates will act as callers, verbally directing their blindfolded teammates to four ground-level stations. Pushing the stones through each station, the weight of the stone will crush tiles cradled at each post. Here, they'll find a pair of smaller money-stones that will be used to solve a rotating-cog puzzle, a series of flat-laying pegged-wheels that spin and rotate to fit all eight money-stones. The first tribe to complete the puzzle wins Reward. The winning tribe will enjoy a trip to the Herbal Essences Great Escape Spa, and the chance to refresh themselves with Herbal Essences products and indulge in a tasty snack. The winning tribe will also send a member from both tribes to Exile Island.

Immunity Challenge: WHAT-ER DRAG

One at a time tribe members will race across a floating bridge out to a platform in the water, while pulling with them a long rope attached to a giant wench back on the beach. Once they reach the platform, they will clip the rope onto large folded puzzle pieces and hang on to it as the rest of the tribe cranks the giant wench, pulling them and the puzzle piece through the water back to shore. Once the tribe has collected all five puzzle pieces, two tribe members will unfold the giant puzzle pieces and fit them together to form a large puzzle in the shape of a perfect square. The first tribe to solve the puzzle wins Immunity and is safe from Tribal Council.
